Did you know that 7 Little Words is now in paperback?
Having made the leap from digital to paper last year when it began running in newspapers in the U.S. and abroad, our “un-crossword” puzzle is now available in a handy little paperback edition from Andrews McMeel Publishing. Find the new books at Amazon and Barnes & Noble – or ask for them at your favorite local bookseller.
What could we do to celebrate 2 years of 7 Little Words? How about more free puzzles, which is the one thing that everybody seems to want?
Beginning today (and over the next few weeks), a new, free zone of 50 puzzles will begin rolling out across the English language platforms supported by 7 Little Words (iPhone/iPad, Android, Kindle, Nook and Windows 8). An upcoming update will include the new “Robots” zone. Remember, since each app store has different processes, “Robots” will not show up on all devices simultaneously.
Happy puzzling – and thank you very much for your tremendous support of 7 Little Words!
After more than 6 million downloads of 7 Little Words as a mobile app, we are excited to release the first full version for your PC – 7 Little Words for Windows 8. The app was designed in close cooperation with Microsoft, and it will run equally well on your Windows 8 desktop PC, laptop, or mobile device such as the Microsoft Surface tablet.
7 Little Words for Kids is excited to receive the Editor’s Choice Award from Children’s Technology Review, the leading newsletter designed to summarize products and trends in children’s interactive media.
Children’s Technology Review’s Editor and Founder, Warren Buckleitner, called 7 Little Words for Kids “an excellent language enrichment activity” and thus judged it to be one of “the highest quality children’s products in the interactive media category.”
Now your kids have a colorful, exciting 7 Little Words game of their own!
7 Little Words for Kids takes word-finding fun on a journey through seven colorful worlds from Scuba-venture through Dino-World. As you solve the puzzles, you collect stars to unlock the next world. But be careful – using hints will take some of your stars away.
Random puzzle generation allows for endless playability, and a hints feature offers a helping hand in each game. With no possibility of in-app purchasing, 7 Little Words for Kids keeps game play under parents’ control. Also, teachers may appreciate that we participate in Apple’s educational discount program.
If you’ve visited us in the past, you may now notice we have a new website design. In addition to playing a new puzzle every day, you can now learn more about the range of our current and planned projects and easily access tech support. We hope you’ll enjoy the clean, streamlined design that’s organized to help you quickly get to the resources you need.
We’re excited to release a new collection of 7 Little Words puzzles for educators available as free, downloadable PDFs. We hope this new resource will help teachers reinforce lessons from science, geography, history, language and other subjects. We plan to add many more of our fun, simple, and brain-teasing puzzles in the near future.
Since our mobile app debuted in May 2011, it has reached 6 million downloads in English, French, and Spanish editions.
In the last year and a half we’ve also reached some other amazing milestones:
Our game was featured in O, The Oprah Magazine in September 2011.
Since September 2012 our Daily Puzzle is now featured in many newspapers through a partnership with Universal Uclick.
Since October 2012 you can play our game at your table in many restaurants through a partnership with Ziosk.
7 Little Words shows no signs of slowing down, either, as it will soon be available through an enhanced web presence, 3 paperback puzzle books (coming in the spring of 2013), and other exciting formats under development.
No longer just a mobile app, 7 Little Words is taking to the bookshelves with new, 100-puzzle paperbacks from Andrews McMeel Publishing. The books will be available in April 2013, but they are now available for pre-order at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
